Introducing: Akim Mugoya

This is Akim Mugoya, 8 years old. When we visited the street kids of the Iganga district (of Uganda) we picked him up at the age of 2 years. He has now spent 6 years with us.

Akim wants to become a journalist and report about orphans around the world. Starting with our orphanage. He thinks that he can help orphans better that way.

You can also see him on the first cover photo at the front page with 3 of his friends.

Introducing Evelyn Namagada

In the next days and weeks we would like to introduce our children to you individually.

Evelyn Namagada is the beginning of this series. She is an orphan who has been with us since she was 5 months old. She is 5 years old today and will be 6 years old in October. She was supposed to go to school, but she can’t because of lack of funds.

Accounting is necessary

Today we are starting to introduce to our volunteers a complete accounting system for donations received. On request, we make everything transparent for the donor: what exactly we spent the donation on (line items), how much what cost and the corresponding invoices as a scan or photo in addition. Everything is neatly filed on a Google Drive, so that every expenditure can be traced exactly.

If you as a donor would like to receive a detailed statement of our expenses for your donation, please let us know in the donation form. Simply check the box ‘I request expense receipts’.
